How To Insert Text In Photoshop

Introduction

The Type tool allows you to add text to your file. You can use text on a variety of projects, such equally adding it to your images to create a poster, vacation card, or invitation. You'll besides exist able to customize the text to suit your needs.

To utilize the Type tool:

If yous want to add together a lot of text to your document, yous may find it easier to work with multiple text layers. This will give you more control over the apperance of your text. In the example beneath, we've added a second text layer for the word mountains.

Type tool tips

  • If you want to edit a text layer, you'll need to double-click the layer icon in the Layers panel. You can then change the text, resize the text box, or use the options in the Control console to cull a different font or modify text size and color.

  • For even more than text formatting options, become to Window, then select Character to view the Character panel.

  • If you want to move the text, you'll need to select the Move tool and click and elevate it to the desired location in the document window.

Rasterizing text
